The Société de développement du Témiscamingue (SDT) promotes entrepreneurial activities and supports business owners in the creation of their businesses, the consolidation of existing businesses, and with development projects in the following sectors:

Funding and financial support measures
In conjunction with different private and public funding organizations, the Société de développement (SDT) makes different funds and programs available to businesses and organizations. The SDT also refers promoters to different funding opportunities available from the governments of Canada and Quebec.

Working closely with local communities, different organizations and development officers, the Société de développement du Témiscamingue (SDT) fosters and supports local development with activities such as:

• community leadership activities and promotion of partnerships
• strategic planning
• social, cultural and recreational projects
• economic diversification

The Société de développement du Témiscamingue (SDT) has adopted a plan for promoting tourism and aims to position the Témiscamingue region as a tourism destination. The support provided to businesses and organizations is concentrated mainly in five areas:
